So I’m not a huge fan of coke, or soda in general, but I have to admit Coca Cola’s commercials are always so cute and clever. I particularly loved the 2007 commercial of the Coke factory.

It’s crazy how time goes by so fast. I have probably written this line 10 times already. But it blows my mind every time! I only have a week left of my internship. Which means I’ve been in Korea for almost 2 months now. That’s a really long time. I’m actually really sad about ending my internship because I’ve been getting a lot closer with my co-workers and some I’ve just started to get to know. It was a good 2 months spent working there though. I’m going to miss it and I really did learn a lot even though I didn’t really do much there. Yes, but August seems packed already. After I come back from the Philippines I want to travel around Korea a little, go visit the south, go to the countryside, and visit family. This summer has definitely been good for me. It’s been a good break from the ordinary, a good experience, it gave me a lot of time to think about things, accept and realize things, and mature, maybe? It took me a long time to accept the fact that I wouldn’t be able to go to Spain this fall but now I’m actually very excited to go back to Berkeley, although I hear the weather sucks there. I’m really sad for the fact that I am only going to be able to spend a couple hours in LA when I get back because I can’t find an earlier flight and that I’m going to have to miss the first 2 days of classes. I just hope things work out well and God shows me the reason why things turn out the way they do. Only 1 more month left in Korea. I should start making a list of the things I want to do before I leave.

I have officially been withdrawn from my study abroad program.

I guess I’m coming back to Berkeley this fall…

Which means I need to buy football tickets! I’m really going to try to go to all of them this year. Hahahah.

Do you ever get awakenings/realizations/slap in the face that give you the I-need-to-change-my-life kind of thoughts?

I think I get one at least twice a year. I’m one person for a good part of a year, and maybe you won’t even hear of me for the other part of the year because I’m probably lost in my own world/thoughts.

I just got another one.

Let’s see where this one leads to.

Note to self: Learn how to control your own thoughts.

Someone either downstairs or next door is practicing piano.

This is the second day in a row I’ve heard it and I reallyyy like the song.

It’s kind of fast and so happy and pretty.

I wish I knew what it was called.

I wish I knew how to play piano well.

My cousin plays improv piano and she’s so amazing.

I ask her to play a song or I give her a little portion of the tune and she just starts playing it in her own style.

It’s beautiful.

I went to the nearest gym on top of a department store near where I’m living right now because I’ve been wanting to swim for a really long time.

I went to the Information Booth and straight up asked how much it was.

The two guys sitting there stared at me, chuckled, and told me to take a seat.

“Hahah, how much were you thinking of paying?” the first guy asked.

“Well I’m only here for a little over a month now,” I said, hoping there’d be a month plan or even a pay per visit deal.

“I’m sorry, the shortest term we offer is for 3 months,” said the other guy, basically telling me to forget it and leave. I swear I saw him smirk.

“Well, how much is it for 3 months?” I asked.

“270,000 won (around $280).”

“Oh. Alright.” I stood up and left, feeling really stupid.

Later I find out from my cousin that just for a membership there it’s over 100,000 won ($1000) . WTF man.

I miss Berkeley and it’s $10/semester RSF membership.

I really want to go swim. Sigh.
